Solution Welding Flux-Cored Rods

DESCRIPTION

• No flux required (although you can use a flux if you think it will do better). These electrodes form strong bonds that are stronger than metal and can join thin and thick parts. It has excellent corrosion resistance and zero or minimal substrate deformation.

FEATURES

• Easy to melt welding rods are special high quality rods which are mainly used for welding / brazing aluminum and aluminum alloys. However, they can also be used for hard welding non-ferrous metals other than stainless steel.

• Recommended for welding aluminum alloys: 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 3005, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6061, 6951, 7005 and cast alloys 710.0 and 711.0

• Applications include cargo areas, loading ramps, docks, diamond plates, irrigation lines, engine blocks, gearboxes, etc.

• Prepared for small repairs. For repairs that could compromise safety if left unrepaired, we recommend replacing parts completely instead of repairing them.

WELDING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Thoroughly clean the area to be soldered by brushing the base with a stainless steel brush until it becomes shiny. Then evenly heat the area to be welded.
2. While heating, vigorously rub the wand against the heated area until the wand begins to flow.
3. Please Note: Never apply heat directly to the wand as it will crumble. If you manage to melt the rod directly, the weld bead can easily break. Remember that direct rod fusion is a poor method and will produce brittle weld beads.
